christmas morning...

the stocking were hung by the chimney with care...

the presents sat nestled under the tree...

but santa took the filled stockings and hide them in the
basement behind this block tower for Owen & Wyatt to find.

Owen opening his stocking...a MT nameplate

amidst the morning mayhem...

Todd got home at 7am and by 10 we had all the gifts open
and a room full of wrapping paper & new toys!
What a very MERRY Christmas!

WINTER festivities...

Here is a snapshot of the weeks leading up to Christmas
in the Dry house:

Afternoons out sledding...

Owen can't go fast enough or long enough...he loves sledding!

Mom makes him take a break to take a picture and all he
can think about is the next run. Let's go, Mom!

Todd, Wyatt & Sierra on the long slope at the golf course.

This is a pic from our first day sledding...

Brotherly LOVE...

Trying on costumes...

Getting boo boos...

Helping mom with the dishes...only because she lets us use
the sprayer! (Nice face, Wyatt)

Decorating our tree...
Cutting down our tree in the wild...it was so cold we barely had
time to cut down a tree much less find a good one...oh, well!

Trying on his new snow boots...

silver mountain lodge and waterpark

The amazing INDOOR waterpark below is the whole reason
we decided to head to Kellogg, Idaho for our anniversary.

What a fabulous time we had at the waterpark. Owen LOVED it
and after just a few hours, he was all over the place, riding
every waterslide and acting as if he owned the place. He was
amazing to watch and we were so proud of him.
There was nothing he didn't try...and love.

Owen (three years) is such a brave, adventurous little boy.
He loves the water and he couldn't get enough of the waterslides
and play areas.

You can't really tell but Todd & Owen are in the tube at the
bottom of a long, dark, twisting tunnel.

Wyatt got cold easily, so he loved the warm spa area...
and taking time out for treats.

We will definitely go back here for more fun in the near future.

world's LONGEST gondola ride...

Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho boasts the "world's longest gondola"
(see photo below). We spent the weekend there celebrating our
11th Anniversary. It was a nice getaway and really fun!

Both boys were amazed by the gondola and were so
excited we got to ride it.

We love tripods and timers for family pics...we had 20 minutes
to kill each way which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the ride.

Wyatt made friends with this "little bear" at the cafe.
He spent several minutes looking at and chatting with
this cute piece of wood.

It was cold and snowy but beautiful as we enjoyed the view from above.

THaNksGiViNg DAY...evening

The Dry Family celebrated Thanksgiving at home this year...
just the four of us enjoyed a traditional turkey dinner together.
After dinner, we headed to the nearby school to get some
fresh air and have some fun.

Owen & Wyatt love to play at the school and even though
the air was crisp, both boys ran around like crazy.

Owen has not been wanting to ride his bike because the
training wheels made him feel like he was tipping so we took
them off and tried riding to the school with only TWO wheels.
It wasn't the most successful of events but even Wyatt tried
riding down the ramp.
Good thing Daddy is strong enough to hold the bike up for Owen to ride.
It was a fun family day...full of thanks giving.

cELeBraTiNG OWEN's ThiRd BDaY

Owen got to celebrate his third birthday several times...
first, at the cabin with the Watson family...
Baskin Robins Ice Cream Clowns and cool new toys...

And then on his actual birthday at home in Missoula...
cool helicopter & monster truck wrapping paper...
opening presents in his PJs first thing in the morning!

a few days later...more presents come in the mail.
Nana made this amazing adventure backpack for Owen...
with lots of goodies hidden inside.

This is Owen's good friend & neighbor.
She gave Owen a super cool BIG DIPPER
(local Missoula ice cream shop) t-shirt to match her own.

...more ice cream cake at home on Owen's birthday.
Celebrating with family & friends.
We are so blessed with this little guy and we can't wait
to celebrate many more birthdays with him.
