in the backyard...

Seriously, my boys would be outside ALL day if I did not force (and I mean pick them up and carry) them inside. Quite frequently, Owen asks me if he can go outside even before breakfast.

If this isn't the cutest face...Owen asked me to cover him with leaves. I told him to smile so I could take his picture and he gave me an awful face so I told him to laugh as I clicked and this is what I got...priceless.

Can I even post this on a public blog? Owen can hardly stop playing long enough to go pee...if you look to the bottom right corner, you'll see Wyatt's foot as he stands by watching his big brother.

apple cider...yum

The boys and I spent an hour at Fort Missoula learning how to make apple cider...the REAL way. Of course, most of our time was spent climbing trees and running around but the boys did participate in making the cider. They rolled the apples into the press and watched as the instructor "chopped" the apples into tiny pieces. When it was done, we got to try some and it was delicious.

It took me a good minute to get Wyatt to stop and look at me so I could take this photo. He is just as busy and crazy as his brother.

Owen watching as we piled all the apples into the basket so we could wash them before rolling them into the press.

Pumpkin Pickin'

The boys and I went to a local church pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins. They had fun running all over, picking up pumpkins (rolling them down the hill), crawling through the hay maze and mostly just being outside. It was a beautiful day and unseasonably warm. Their adorable pumpkin tie-dye t-shirts came from their Grammie.

Wyatt at 17 months

Our little blue eyed boy is getting so big! In the past month his vocabulary has exploded. The other day in Lowe's he said "chainsaw" as we walked past them. He pointed and looked at me repeating "chainsaw, chainsaw." He also says "go downstairs," "airplane," "ha-ta" (helicopter), "motorcycle," "outside" and so much more. It is amazing to see your kids growing right before your eyes. He is such a sweetie and loves his brother so much. We are so blessed!

Gymnastics

We recently went to try a gymnastics class with a group of new friends. Both boys had a lot of fun and spent the hour running around, jumping on the trampoline and hanging from the bars. This was the first time Owen went off on his own and had to listen to a "teacher." He did really well following instructions. Wyatt and I had fun climbing all over and hopping down the long trampoline. At one point when I was taking a photo of Owen, I looked over and Wyatt was swinging from a low bar...all on his own, feet off the ground. It was a fun morning and a new activity we will definitely try again.
